Megarme Group operates an in-house IRATA training facility in Qatar, supporting the training and development of rope access personnel across the business.
The facility allows technicians to complete structured training in a controlled environment, covering rope access techniques, safe systems of work, equipment use, rescue procedures, rigging principles, hazard awareness and practical work-at-height scenarios.
This supports consistent competency development, improves workforce readiness and helps ensure technicians are prepared for the operational demands of offshore, marine, industrial and infrastructure projects.
All IRATA candidates are assessed by an independent IRATA Assessor in accordance with IRATA requirements.
Megarme Group provides training and preparation; however, assessment and certification are carried out independently by an IRATA-approved Assessor. This ensures impartiality, maintains the integrity of the certification process and confirms that successful candidates have demonstrated the required level of knowledge, skill and competence.
This distinction is important: Megarme Group does not train, assess and certify candidates internally. Certification is only achieved following successful assessment by an independent IRATA Assessor.
Our in-house training capability helps ensure rope access personnel are trained to recognised industry standards before deployment to live projects.
Training includes practical rope access techniques, equipment checks, rescue drills, work positioning, rope manoeuvres, hazard identification and scenario-based exercises that reflect the conditions technicians may face on site.
By maintaining regular training, refresher sessions and competency checks, Megarme Group supports a culture of safety, discipline and continuous improvement across its rope access teams.
Megarme Group’s IRATA training capability provides clear benefits to both our workforce and clients.
It supports faster workforce mobilisation, improves technician preparedness, reduces reliance on external training providers and helps maintain consistent standards across our rope access operations.
This approach also supports project readiness, allowing Megarme Group to deploy competent, well-prepared technicians to meet client requirements across offshore, marine, industrial and infrastructure environments.
To maintain high standards, Megarme Group uses a structured training and competency development process. This includes practical training, rescue exercises, internal competency monitoring, refresher training and preparation for formal IRATA assessment.
Our training facilities are equipped to simulate real worksite conditions, helping technicians develop the confidence, discipline and technical ability required for complex rope access operations.
Through ongoing training and skills development, Megarme Group ensures its rope access teams remain aligned with IRATA requirements, client expectations and the safety standards required for challenging project environments.
